Hiya, it went really well today thanks. When the lady put the first one in George turned that direction straight away, i was infront of him talking but he kept turning to the left and looking really confused. It must have been strange for him hearing so much. Then when the second one went in and was switched on he screamed the house down! She turned it off for a while til he calmed down then tried again and he was fine. He's only pulled them out 3 times so far. I'll put a picture on later, they are really small and you hardly notice them from the front x

glad it went well, i suppose to wear aids but find them far to noisy (think we spoke about this when we met up) but i have heard that the new ones are so much better, sure he will get used to them thats the good thing about catching it early! bet he looks soooo cute!

Ah thanks Tace thats lovely x
Have to say though that he's been driving me nuts today with them lol. He's been taken them out all day, and while I'm putting one back in if he;s not pushing my hand away he's pulling the other one out. I went in the kitchen for something and when I came back in the lounge he was sucking one of them. Later on we went to the library, while there he pulled them out so I put them straight back in then when we got back to the car one was missing, i couldn't find it anywhere so went back in the library and it was on the floor by the desk lol. He's been an absolute monkey all day, feel like I've got to watch him every minute x

Hi Claire
Must admit Harrison used to enjoy chewing on his too, and still does sometimes although recently he's much better with them (don't want to speak too soon!). I found some brilliant tape recently which helps keep them on, another mum recommended it to me, it's called fashion tape and ladies use it to stick their dresses on, but we've also found it works well keeping hearing aids on! You get it in shops like Debenhams in the ladies underwear section! Sounds strange but it works and I'd got to the point where I was willing to try anything! Also if he keeps pulling them off then it may be worth just trying one at a time, that worked for Harry. Having said all that, he can still be a little monkey and we recently lost one, tore the house upside down trying to find it but it still hasn't shown up. When I called the hearing service they said don't worry about it and another one is being sent to me in the post. I guess they must be used to people losing them!

Hi Lisa, thanks for reply. The 'teacher' gave us some 'wig tape' to use which makes the backs fit better but he still pulls the aids out. He's managing to have them in for 2-3 hours at a time now which is an improvement but he really puts up a fight when I try to put them in. Hope you manage to find Harry's missing one soon then you'll have a spare x
