Hi everyone,
Jasmine had her second appointment with the pediatrician yesterday and it went really well. Still no health problems detected. She's gained weight, now weighs 9lb 14oz, not growing as much length wise as she is tummy wise though! He he. Have referrals for physio and speech therapy (altho am sure she's a little young for that). As you know, the heart check was pretty good news so Jasmine now has 3 month's piece before she needs to go again.
The pediatrician helped with the DLA form so fingers crossed as I could really do with the help for transport etc. (Car is being a nitemare at the mo.)
Anyway, apart from the demanding diva attitude (which she gets from her Mum, lol), all is good.

great news - I'm battling with the DLA form too! My portage lady said it's officially the worst form in the world!

Great news that she is getting referred so soon, Graces referalls were all sent off when she was about ten days old, we had our first physio appointment at 4 weeks old and have seen her every 4 weeks since. Firsy speech therapy was at about 3 months, and I like you thought she was much too young for this but ST is so much more than just talking, they will monitor her feeding and swallow etc. We started our first makaton classes at 5 months which also includes reconizing things etc. Get her involved in everything avaliable, as Im sure some people will tell you not everyone is as lucky to get these services so quickly.
Good luck with the DLA, and Max I cant believe you are only claiming for it now are you mad, Caleb is entitled to it more than most who get it!!
Shirley xx

Yeah I know shirley - but I was told I wouldn't get it until there was some "difference" or I'd have nothing to write down! Now I can put all the therapy he has. I might have only gotten low level before whereas now I might get medium so I can apply for carers allowance (and give up work) If you get low, you can't get carers.
