And if you cant moan on here then where can you, weve all either been there already or are going there soon lol....

Hi, hope all goes well for you both with the test on Friday. This might be a silly question but how often are our kids eyes supposed to be tested and how can they tell if they need glasses when they are this young? Brodie's eyes were tested when he was about one but he hasn't been back since so wondered if perhaps i should mention it to his paediatrician next time i see her? x

Tina, not sure if there's a set time as to when they should be tested. George was seen at 5 months and 8 months and is going again in September (he'll be 15 months then). I'd ask the hv or like you said the paed if your seeing her soon x ps love the new pic of Brodie, he looks really cute x

Gabriel's got a hearing test today, this will be his third test in 6 months ,so not sure why he has to go for another one.The 1st one he was not at all interested, just kept playing with his feet, the 2nd one he was a bit better, maybe they just have to double check!

Hi Tina, Leo sees 2 eye doctors, an opthamologist and an optomatrist, one looks inside his eyes and the can see whether they need glasses or not, for this they put dye in their eyes and can see if they are short or long sighted (cool I think!) and the other looks at their vision, they show special pics and watch where the kids are looking and then later where they touch/point to. They are also looking for early signs of eye diseases and squints, I can't remeber how often Leo goes, but it is quite often...I also am really lovin Brodies new pic!!

Hi all thanks for the advise, will def ask paed next time i see her. Don't think Brodie has any probs at the mo but as all my side of the family are short sighted there's probably a high chance he will be too in the future! lol.
Hope all's gone well with Dannys hearing test today x x

Dannys hearing test really was much the same as last time they still cannot drain the fluid from the middle ear and put grommits in as Danny's ear canals are to small and they said it would be a struggle to do it so we need to go back in six months they still think he cannot hear certain tones but he seems to react when spoken to so they are not to worried

So not much of an answer for you.
At least they're not worried, so not all bad.
Let's hope you get more answers in the next 6 months.
