From grace was about 6 weeks old she has been sleeping through the night, no problems. This past 2 nights she has been wakening around 4am and seems to be starving. When I do give her her bottle she is only taking about 2 and a half ounces. I have also noticed that she is a bit more sweaty than normal.
Even throughout the day when she normally takes 5 ounces , it has become a struggle to get 3 into her. She has had her second set of jabs and her 4th synagis jab this week , could this be the problem or do you think this could be her going into "failure".
We were at the cardiologist last Thursday and he was very surprised that Grace still doesn't need a meds for her condition and also that she was doing so well.
Don't want to seem like a neurotic mother and rush her to the doctors/hospital if its not necessary. What would you guys do ?
Thanks

Hiya Babes. How is her colour??? When Holly has one of her "Do's" she will go very pale in the face but very purpley in her hands. Do you have any community nurses that can call out to just check her SATs??? Do you have a policy with the Cardiology, that if you are worried you can take her down to be checked??? Either way hunni, there is no harm in getting her checked. She won't be going into failure, but she might be struggling just a little bit. We have home Oxygen for times when Holly is struggling, and it has saved us many many journeys. Phone the ward and ask their advice hun. Let us know how you get on

Her colour seems ok at the minute, she seems to be doing a bit better now, has took 1 five oz bottle 1 60z bottle and 1 4oz bottle. Is still very irritable and is crying a lot more than usual. Just lying in daddy's arms for a cuddle as we speak. She still seems to be sweaty at times. We do have a cardiac liaison sister that will call to the house so I think I will ring her in the morning so see if she will call out to check on her, also if she gets any worse I can take her straight to the ward to be checked.
Funny you should mention her hands as when I get grace up in the morning her hands are very purpely and have noticed over the past few days that her tongue is also purple at times.
Will keep you posted, thanks for the advise Rilith
Hope everything is well with you and Lil holly

Well,
Thank God she is a lot better, think it must have been all the injection sahe got this week that made her out of sorts. she is back up to full bottles and sleeping all night again. Her little hands and tounge are still blue at times but she has no difficulty breathing. Am at the doctors for myself on tuesday so will ask him about her whilst there.
Thanks again
