I know a little while back there were a few of us whos kids were a similar sort of age and we were talking about starting potty training. I was just wondering how people were getting on with this?
We've started to make some real progress in the last few weeks with Brodie, he will now do a wee on the toilet almost everytime you take him and will ocassionaly ask to go himself. School have also said that he's begun asking to go and on a couple of occasions has had dry nappies! I just wish the weather was a bit warmer so i could take a chance and just put him in ordinary pants but i couldn't face anymore washing in this weather! lol

William used to refuse to go on the potty or toilet until my nephew was toliet training in Aug. His mum gave him a malteeser every time he had a wee or poo on the potty, this worked for william big time! so when he started school in sept he was happy to go on the toilet when taken, at home he even asked, then we stopped the choc and eventually after about a month he refues to go on the toilet but will go on the potty. He is still in nappies but i am happy just getting him used to the potty and toilet at this stage. he was 4 in may.

Well done Brodie, you're a little star Its been a bit hit & miss with Harry so far, sometimes he'll use the toilet but its more when I guess he needs it rather than him communicating to me that he needs to go! I'm trying to psyche myself up to have a real bash at it again so keen to hear any tips anyone has.

Hi Tina,
Funny you've asked about this because I am at a loss.... Jasmine is just 3 and is... wait for it DRY.... haha only for 2 days a week. At nursery she asks to go for a wee wee, she goes on the toilet and she keeps a clean nappy all day, at home she wont sit on the loo or potty, she will tell me when she has done something in her nappy and sign and say 'change nappy mummy' but she will not do anything for me! Think it must be the novelty factor and seeing the other children... I'm so proud that she clearly understands and knows what to do but she is a little monkey not doing it for me! I just keep trying her on the toilet and maybe one day we will get there, at least she's making progress! lol
