We've got a maxi cosi one which has suited Daniel really well - he's now 3 and has had it since about a year old I think. It's pretty rigid and supportive and has 3 reclining positions. Also, maxi cosi seem to do quite a range for different budgets - my parents have a cheaper maxi cosi in their car for him, but I can't see why its cheaper!! When I was looking, mothercare seemed to be the most knowlegeable (and most helpful but not cheapest!) about different types of support etc and I asked lots of questions, which may be useful if you have specific questions about support/needs for Ianto. Good luck!!
