Im so squeamish of eyes lol!!
Lucy is due to go for her 3rd eye check-up, they have been unable to look for the last few visits as Lucy hasn't let anyone near her.
I know she is slightly longsighted, but they haven't given her glasses as yet.
However, I have noticed over the last couple of days her left eye keeps going "boss-eyed" when things are too close. Im wondering if this is and indication that her eye-sight has worsend or if its a squint (i have no experience of squints, would they be there constantly or now and again???)
I really am dreading the appointment as Lucy doesn't co-operate, but i know it needs investigating.

Daniel has a squint and is longsighted and wears glasses. His squint isnt there all the time and is in both eyes which apparently is better as both eyes get a turn at working rather than one just being 'lazy' the whole time. His squint was very bad when he was younger (his eye would nearly disappear!) and he had surgery to correct it, so now its not so noticeable. As far as i know i dont think the two are connected (having a squint meaning the longsightedness is getting worse) I know lots of children with Ds who have some kind of squint (and a few without DS!) Good luck for the optician - they are pretty amazing at how they can tell eye problems in yound children who can't read - daniel had drops in and they looked in his eyes and could tell from that! But he didnt like it much either!! GOOD LUCK! xx
