After loads of consultations and physcology appointments lucy has been given her date for her week long assesment. 21 march...we have to go everyday where she has appointments with everyone..Then on the friday, its just me and the 10 health "proffessionals" to discuss and/or diagnose if Lucy is on the autistic spectrum. I just hope it gives me some answers, so that I can help Lucy as much as possible. I have videoed as much stuff as i can Has anyone else had these assesments, can they give me any tips?

Hi - just seen this, sorry. How did it all go? Ive spotted bits on your facebook, so I'm guessing that Lucy was diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum? Hows it all going? xx

Hi sarah
Yes she was diagnosed with autism. I initially found it a bit of a blow. But, now it means myself and others can understand her a bit better. She is getting loads of extra help eg: more sessions in the sensory room, extra speech therapy and OT are seeing her for her sensory issues, going to learn brushing, to help de sensitise her to touch. For me its really helped understanding that she isn't difficult because she's being naughty, but things have to be done in a set way. I think its going to be helpful for school when she starts that the diagnosis has already been made, so that can only be good. Hope you are ok, im finding it really hard to keep up with FB at the moment, theres always so much going on LOL xx
