Found a mysterious credit in my bank account online - it had been deposited by DWP DLA - it works out exactly as middle rate care - strangely though we have not had a letter notifying us but I guess that will arrive soon. This will certainly help with petrol money to & fro to CDC each week & I want to book Rachel some swimming time as well or maybe local singing & signing.

We didn't apply until Rachel had turned one, as we were advised by our consultant not to, but Rachel has no heart probs & she has been in excellent health that I found it very hard to think about applying, it has just been the same for us having Rachel as any of our others, but once we started doing physio , specch therapy etc I realised that yes we are having to give her that extra. Anyway I had some help with my form from another member of our local DS group & it has taken 7 weeks to come through, i know that they did write to my consultant so maybe that made it a bit longer ?

Good for you - we had the same situation with no heart probs etc so waited till he was 1 and we were actually doing different stuff so had something to write!
Enjoy the swimming!
